Remembering RoseMarie, the smiling, loving, RoseMarie who was my sister in-law for 50 years, the auntie that my children loved and who gave them the best hugs ever. I treasure the memories of the family times we spent together, beginning with visits to the little house on Lyon in Boise, making Vita’s New Mexican enchiladas and shopping in the neighborhood clothing store. We started laughing together there and shared the joy of laughter throughout our sisterhood. I remember the great times we had cooking meals together in our kitchens at the Marcliff house and in ours in Salem, Thanksgivings and birthdays, and our children playing together. Later there were trips: to the Columbia Gorge—Vista House and dinner at Timberline Lodge, to the beach—cobblestones and driftwood at the light house, to Hawaii-- snorkeling and macadamia nut pie, to the Steens Mt.—bird watching and relaxing at the Diamond Hotel. Those and so many other memories come to mind! As always, each time I see a humming bird, which she so loved, I shall recall the blessing she was in my life, think of her, and hold her close in my heart. Sylvia Kline
